Privacy Policy
This policy explains what personal information Valius collects when you use the Acquisition Hub, why we collect it and the choices you have. The Acquisition Hub is run by Valius Global, a trading name of M&A Technology Solutions Limited (company number 17067698, registered office 15 Parsons Court, Welbury Way, Newton Aycliffe, County Durham, DL5 6ZE). We are the data controller for information collected through the hub.
What we collect
Your name, work email, phone number (if you give it) and account details. Information about your search that you choose to share: buyer type, target sectors, regions, size, budget, funding and timeframe. Your answers to the readiness check and assessment, your acquisition criteria, long list, deal structures and diligence tracking. Basic technical information such as device, browser and pages visited.
How we use it
To run your account and the hub tools, tailor guides and prompts to your search, respond when you ask an adviser to contact you, and, where you are happy for us to, tell you about relevant Valius services and opportunities. We also use aggregated, anonymised data to improve the hub.
Our lawful basis
We rely on performing our agreement with you to provide the hub, our legitimate interests in running and improving the service and responding to enquiries, and your consent for optional marketing, which you can withdraw at any time.
Who we share it with
Trusted service providers who host the hub, send emails and manage our customer records (CRM), each bound by contract to protect your data. We never sell your information and never share your search details with sellers or other buyers without your agreement.
Confidentiality of your search
Details of targets, pricing and deal structures you record in the hub are private to your account. Valius advisers only see them if you ask us to help you with a specific deal.
How long we keep it
For as long as your account is open, then for up to two years afterwards unless the law requires longer. You can ask us to delete your account at any time.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask to access, correct, delete or move your data, object to or restrict how we use it, and withdraw consent. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
